My mother, Danielle Furci is a New Yorker. My Father, an Italian Jazz musician. My mother bought her first pasta making machine, started to make fresh pasta and launched Spaghetti Junction in Lewes, East Sussex in 1981. We joined forces in 1998, moving the business to Brighton, and Spaghetti Junction Mk 2 was born, which we ran together for 5 wonderful years.
In the intervening years I’ve managed restaurants and worked in the evolving London Restaurant scene, with a special interest in Street Food.
Caccia & Tails is a product of this heritage and a desire to bring a modern casual dining experience to my home town. Spaghetti Junction was founded for the love of Pasta. This has now been broadened to include Focaccia Genovese. This regional style of Focaccia, which is eaten upside down to allow the salt to hit your tongue, is probably something you haven’t experienced yet… You will! We are hoping that very soon the population of Lewes will be starting the day with a slice of delicious Focaccia Genovese and a coffee, as they’ve been doing for hundreds of years in Genova.
A menu of street pasta dishes and New York Italian classics are made fresh on site every day for you to eat in or take out. Fresh homemade pasta and sauces are also available to take home to cook for supper. Our food can now be enjoyed at the Lansdown Arms, where you can now order our menu at the bar.
